Product Hunt trends: what's launching, what's winning
Every week we track every Product Hunt launch — name, tagline, and daily rank — and look for the patterns that should change how you position and time your own launch. This page covers 9 weeks and 44,744 launches (May 24 – July 25, 2026).

The 7 findings that matter
1.The category mix barely moves — the churn is in products, not categories
Across 9 weeks and 44,744 launches, the shares are strikingly stable: AI hovers at 25–28%, image/video/voice generation at ~9%, dev tools and APIs at ~6%, AI agents at ~4.5%, marketing at ~4%. What changes week to week is which specific products win, not what people build. That stability is why the benchmarks on this page are worth planning against.
2.“AI” in your tagline no longer differentiates
The share of launches saying “AI” in the tagline drifted from 28.1% in late May to 24.7% in late July. It is range-bound rather than collapsing, but the direction is clear: AI is becoming assumed, so founders are quietly dropping the word. If a quarter of the leaderboard says “AI-powered”, saying it too tells voters nothing. Lead with the transformation instead.
3.Agent infrastructure punches far above its launch share
AI-agent launches are dead flat at ~4.5% of volume, yet agent and LLM infrastructure keeps taking the daily #1 slot: a data layer for AI agents, a live data marketplace for agents, shared memory across LLMs, a trading desk for LLM calls. Small category, outsized winners — the strongest “build here” gap in the data.
4.“Memory for agents” is a recurring named problem
Persistent state and shared context for AI agents shows up again and again across both winners and ordinary launches (AgentKey, Unabyss, and several others in the weekly winner lists below). If you are hunting for a niche, this one is being asked for by name.
5.The leaderboard rewards builders selling to builders
Most daily #1s are APIs, SDKs, and data layers, and several weekly standouts are sales, SEO, or outreach tools. The Product Hunt crowd is developers and founders, and it votes for products aimed at developers and founders. Consumer AI apps have a harder road to the top slot.
6.Competition is at the top of its range
Weekly launch volume stays between roughly 4,600 and 5,500 products, but the two most recent weeks (5,185 and 5,543) are the highest in the window. Around 750–790 products launch every day. Differentiation and launch-day preparation matter more when the field is this crowded.
7.The GTM patterns that persist: free, transformation, privacy
“Free” leads about 9% of all taglines — the dominant wedge. “Turn X into Y” framing runs 3–4% and is the market's default tagline formula. Self-hosted / privacy positioning holds steady at ~4%. These are stable, teachable patterns, and the tagline tools on this site score against them.

FAQ
How many products launch on Product Hunt per day?
Roughly 650 to 790 products per day across the last nine tracked weeks, or 4,600 to 5,500 per week. The two most recent weeks were the highest in the window, so competition is at the top of its range.
What are the biggest Product Hunt categories right now?
AI leads at 25 to 28 percent of all launches, followed by image, video, and voice generation at around 9 percent, dev tools and APIs at around 6 percent, AI agents at around 4.5 percent, and marketing at around 4 percent. These shares have been stable for nine straight weeks.
Should I put AI in my Product Hunt tagline?
Usually not the word itself. About a quarter of all launches already say AI in the tagline, and the share is drifting down as AI becomes assumed. Describe the transformation your product delivers instead of labeling the technology.
How is this data collected?
We track every Product Hunt launch daily and analyze the product name, tagline, and daily leaderboard rank. Themes are keyword-clustered from taglines, and the daily number one is used as the winner signal. Vote counts and official PH categories are not yet captured, so treat the numbers as directional benchmarks.
Methodology: launches are tracked daily (name, tagline, daily rank); themes are keyword-clustered from taglines. PH's own categories and vote counts are not yet captured, so shares are directional. Data through 2026-07-25.
